Artist Bio: I was born in Harlan, Kentucky.  I graduated from Alabama A&M University in (Normal) Huntsville, Alabama.  I completed my graduate work at Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky.  I have a daughter named Elizabeth and my furry (dog) daughter is named Mona Lisa. I have taught at Garden Springs Elementary for 20 years. I want to give a BIG SHOUT OUT to the students and staff at Garden Springs.

Artist Interpretation: Part 1-Serenity is about sometimes just wanting to be alone with a good book!

Part 2- Still Life in Red-I love painting flowers, the organic, free form shape of a flower is so captivating!  Flowers appeal to all of your senses, the beauty, the smell, the touch. No matter how down you are, if someone gives you flowers, that just seems to brighten your day!
