Barrel Location: Starbucks on Main Street, Downtown Lexington

Artist Bio: Niah Soult has been painting, drawing—creating—since early childhood.  Her first commissioned wall mural appeared when the artist was only 16.  Since that time, several more of her works have adorned the walls of both residential and commercial buildings throughout her hometown of Lexington.

As for Ms. Soult, it is not purely decorative or ornamental, but it is the very act of one’s understanding of bringing to the fore, through imagery, the essential elements of life, which in the absence of the artistic process may otherwise have gone unidentified.

Artist’s Interpretation: I wanted to give a sense of the world, its very material substance, to reveal all of the interdependent relationships, which sustain it and are sustained by it..
