As a social artist, I find many avenues in which to weave Environmental and Holistic awareness in working with children of all ages. As a home school mother, my work naturally lends itself to non-formal education in my employment, or as a volunteer. Through my business, Ravenwood Center, I have worked with a variety of Kentucky events and organizations, including “Arts for Kids of Danville” with pre-drama and summer camps, childrne coordinator with “Blue Grass Green Living and Enerfy Expo” and Creating Children Villages at festivals.
I was an original founder of the Garrard Earth Day festival and in 2006, I helped establish a recycling program in Garrard Public Schools under the award of a national 4H R.E.A.L. Coca Cola Grant.

Artist’s Interpretation:  As a blanket that covers the Earth.  Weaving Hearts with Common Threads is about the work that holds us all together and together, we hold the work.

The Moon and Sun are symbolic of the Sacred Feminine and Sacred Masculine which brings balance to our earth walk.  The Falling stardust of cosmic creation falls through the purple band of spirit down to the various manifestations from our wishes in to but just some of the many Kentucky Groups, Business and Organizations in the weaving colors of the rainbow path, showing each ones uniquess, but with common threads.  At the bottom of the barrel is a red band found laying on Foundation of new spring growth, indicating the good red road of earth wisdom, will find our balance needed for Humanities survival on the Mother.
