Artist’s Interpretation:  The word “Serein” means a mist or very fine rain that sometimes falls from a clear sky.  The landscape in the round shows misty mountains.

Bio:  Emily Shirley is a sophomore at Mercer County Senior High School and an accomplished artist.  Her usual media are acrylics, pen and pencil and charcoal.  This is her first experience painting rain barrels.
