mmm mmm life is good
Anne Allen

Barrel Location: IGA, Wilmore
Artist’s Interpretation: My students watched the images emerge as I created this rain barrel in the classroom. We discussed Pop Art and looked at screen prints by Andy Warhol featuring everyday objects. We made our own Pop Art using our portraits or repeated images. This project also provided opportunity for discussion about functional art, recycling and community involvement.
Bio: Anne Allen in a lifelong Lexingtonian art teacher and supports Bluegrass PRIDE’s efforts to conserve, recycle, and maintain the natural beauty of the Bluegrass. Anne shares life with her husband George, daughter Lucie, and students of Tates Creek Elementary.
