Artist’s Interpretation:
Hallucinogenesis is the spontaneous generation of hallucination.
Close your eyes very tight...then blast them open! For
a split second, everything equals everything else. But
then Hallucinogenesis occurs and your cerebral cortex
cogitates otherwise useless data--through memory--and
gives it meaning.
Bio: Stephen Casals was
born in Oklahoma, moved to Japan as a very young child,
bounced all over the globe as an Air Force Brat, and ended
up in Lexington to raise children and run special programs
for adults with developmental disabilities including Minds
Wide Open art center, The Written Word literacy center,
and College for Living. He is now Director of Expressive
Programs for Employment Solutions.
